About The Event

Learn Kalamkari Painting with us ONLINE!

A step-by-step online tutorial class teaching you how to make a Kalamkari Painting by yourself! We will do a painting with you from start to finish!

Kalamkari is a type of hand printed or hand block printed cotton textile. Kalamkari refers to the ancient style of hand paintingthat is done with a tamarind pen, using natural dyes. Literal meaning of Kalamkari is kalam, which means pen and kari which refers to craftsmanship; which is derived from a Persian word.

For this session you will need -

1 Canvas (Size 10" x 12")

Acrylic Paints

Flat & Round Brushes (Any Size)

One 000 brush (for line work) (required)

Palette/Plate

A cup for water

A Pencil

Tissues
